"Brief" was very thought provoking and entertaining. It captures the reader in such a way that the reader can relate his/her own's life experiences. The novel really draws you into the characters and storyline. Highly recommended as a must read!
Brief deals with topics such as love, living in the moment, death, fate, self forgiveness and understanding one's place in the world, all told through characters I identified with and felt spring off the page, almost as if they were validating the internal struggles I've called my demons for months now. I found myself brushing away tears at several parts of the book, so much did the message resonate with me and where I am in life. I also had the privilege of sharing a dorm room with the author when our travel paths crossed in Bolivia and our conversations will stay with me for a lifetime. Incredible book, incredible man!
Brief set my imagination on fire and thoroughly exercised every muscle in my mind! This book masterly explores a wide range of human emotion, spirituality, the legitimacy of reincarnation and the mystery of dream states vis-a-vis self awareness. Moreover, the characters in Brief were meticulously developed in such a manner that they actually came alive in my minds eye. If you enjoy reading and have a visceral desire to stretch your understanding of the human drama and the forces that impinge on it, Brief will indeed exceed your expectations. I look forward to reading Gary Hudson's next masterpiece.
Brief is wonderfully engaging, endearing and thought provoking. I thoroughly enjoyed the soulful connections, fateful events and the integrity and authenticity of the characters. Spiritually grounding, Brief offers us a gentle reminder perhaps, to slow down enough to see the synchronicity in our own life…. the power of flow. I liked it so much I posted a copy to a friend!
